The Venice Concert Band is actively involved in supporting music students and musical organizations through charitable donations.  Donations have offered direct scholarships to needy students and grants to teachers to promote music education in their classrooms.

Brookdale residents attended a band rehearsal and presented a scholarship donation to Mary Deur, Venice Concert Band president. Sam D'Amico, next to Mary, played clarinet with the band for many years and many Brookdale residents attended every concert to hear Sam and the band.
